2012 – The Year of the Yang Water Dragon

2012 – the year of the Yang Water Dragon will officially begin on Feb 4 based on Solar calendar. Contrary to the predictions of 2012, the year of the Dragon will be an exciting change from the year of the Metal Rabbit.

Looking at the BaZi 2012 chart, we see Yang Water on the year and month and Yin Wood on the day and hour pillar. Water is the strongest element, so Water industry such as trade, retail, spa, hospitality, recreational resorts can benefit. With Wood in all 4 pillars, “Wood” industries such as education, publishing, iBook’s, eBooks, academic, research, healthcare, pharmaceuticals and,“green business” will flourish and prosper in 2012.

Based on the chart, Earth element is weak and it represents real estate and property. Therefore, property will continue to drop but only a minor deterioration as the earth element does not face any clashes. The Metal element in this chart is also weak and Metal represents finance, banking, and insurance; as well as the Fire element which represents technology, IT, oil and gas and electronics. They are both not stable and will face some problems and will experience most volatility this year.

Looking at the 2012 BaZi chart, Water element is dominating the chart. Therefore, it shows there will be a lot of floods, water related issues and disasters, especially in the South-east sector of the world due to No. 5 Yellow Star location. Meanwhile, you can see the Dragon and Goat which are both earth elements, so we can see there will be a lot of earthquakes for Water element floods the Earth.

The most favorable element for 2012 is Yin Fire to warm up the cold chart. If the Fire element is in your BaZi natal chart or in your 10 year luck cycle, then new opportunities will come to you in 2012.

That said, 2012 is going to be one of the most significant years that any of us have ever lived through. There will be a powerful driving forces towards progress, sweeping changes in culture, geopolitics, environmental policies and and profound changes in the lives of individuals. The time is here to decide what matters the most and take action. There is also spiritual theme in 2012 leading to renewal, healing, growth and recovery.

BaZi Basics | Joey Yap

There are two potent forms of ancient Chinese Astrology to analyze Life  – the Purple Star system (Zi Wei Dou Shu ) and Eight Characters (BaZi ).

Ba Zi (Eight Characters ) or Four Pillars as it is popular known in the West, is a sophisticated art of Chinese fortune-telling based largely on the Chinese five-element theory, allowing us to investigate the potential and mysterious of our lives using our birth data. BaZi calculation enable us to explore the cyclical influence of our ‘destiny’ in terms important areas such as family, friends, relationships, wealth, fame, recognition, career, studies, partnership, business and the almost every other important aspect of our lives. BaZi can be used to evaluate relationships and to forecast the life path of each individual.

BaZi translates our birth data – Year , Month , Day  and Hour  of birth into four pairs of distinct Chinese Characters (called Jia Zi ). Four pairs make Eight Characters (or BaZi). Each pair is also known as a pillar, hence the term Four Pillars. The eight characters are made up of the yin and yang variations of the Five Elements . By analyzing the structure, compatibility, clashes, combinations and inter-relations of these eight characters, we can learn much about our nature and our life path. An individual can make use of this information to accelerate his performance in work, strengthen his or her relationships with others, improve weaknesses, maximize talents and potentials, and make informed decisions based on forecasts of his or her upcoming cycle of luck.

Understanding our BaZi (our Eight Characters) helps us deal with uncertainties and allows us to understand our strengths and weaknesses in life. Factors such as luck are often indomitable and not within our grasp. BaZi analysis is designed to help us understand the cycles of luck and possibly understand how it influences our lives.

These are brought to you via Joey Yap’s Website. Which if you have not been yet, you really must. Also, if you have not already- please check out the upcoming Joey Yap Feng Shui & Astrology 2011 Event Sasha Lee Consultants is helping to put together.

Heaven Luck

Heaven Luck refers to fate; the luck you are born with. It is fixed at birth, and determines our potential and talents. It is the placement of stars and planets at the time of your birth that can aid or hinder your earthly path. In Chinese Metaphysics, one’s energy field is analyzed by the five elements according to your birth info.

The two methodologies used to define one’s Heaven Luck are:

BaZi Analysis (Four Pillars of Destiny)
Used for over 5,000 years in Asia, BaZi, Four Pillars of Destiny (or Saju in Korean) is a system of Chinese Astrology based upon an individual’s birth info. This system enables you to gain a deeper and more profound understanding of your potentials, weaknesses and can guide you to create a more fulfilling life.

ZeRi (Date Selection)
Date Selection or ZeRi is a meticulous process that matches the BaZi of an individual to an auspicious date, to ensure a favorable outcome.
When choosing a favorable date (for example, a wedding day, launching a new business, or signing a contract), proper timing will foster smooth sailing. Date Selection should help activate Feng Shui solutions, to maximize the positive effects.
