2012 – The Year of the Yang Water Dragon

2012 – the year of the Yang Water Dragon will officially begin on Feb 4 based on Solar calendar. Contrary to the predictions of 2012, the year of the Dragon will be an exciting change from the year of the Metal Rabbit.

Looking at the BaZi 2012 chart, we see Yang Water on the year and month and Yin Wood on the day and hour pillar. Water is the strongest element, so Water industry such as trade, retail, spa, hospitality, recreational resorts can benefit. With Wood in all 4 pillars, “Wood” industries such as education, publishing, iBook’s, eBooks, academic, research, healthcare, pharmaceuticals and,“green business” will flourish and prosper in 2012.

Based on the chart, Earth element is weak and it represents real estate and property. Therefore, property will continue to drop but only a minor deterioration as the earth element does not face any clashes. The Metal element in this chart is also weak and Metal represents finance, banking, and insurance; as well as the Fire element which represents technology, IT, oil and gas and electronics. They are both not stable and will face some problems and will experience most volatility this year.

Looking at the 2012 BaZi chart, Water element is dominating the chart. Therefore, it shows there will be a lot of floods, water related issues and disasters, especially in the South-east sector of the world due to No. 5 Yellow Star location. Meanwhile, you can see the Dragon and Goat which are both earth elements, so we can see there will be a lot of earthquakes for Water element floods the Earth.

The most favorable element for 2012 is Yin Fire to warm up the cold chart. If the Fire element is in your BaZi natal chart or in your 10 year luck cycle, then new opportunities will come to you in 2012.

That said, 2012 is going to be one of the most significant years that any of us have ever lived through. There will be a powerful driving forces towards progress, sweeping changes in culture, geopolitics, environmental policies and and profound changes in the lives of individuals. The time is here to decide what matters the most and take action. There is also spiritual theme in 2012 leading to renewal, healing, growth and recovery.

The Difference Between “Fate” and “Destiny”

The words “Fate” and “Destiny” are often used interchangeably in the modern context – hence the confusion to many. In actual fact, there is a difference. “Fate” is termed as a preordained course of one’s life that will occur beyond our control. “Destiny”, on the other hand, is a set of predetermined events within one’s life that one can take control in shaping it.

Ancient sages believed that the universe is made up of a Heaven, Earth and Man, called the Cosmic Trinity, each influencing 33% of our lives. Our life path and a certain degree of our fortunes are set by Heaven, the environment (Earth) of Feng Shui magnifies our fortunes or luck, but Man’s own action or inaction is what makes an outcome swing either way.

Therefore, a person with limited capacity will achieve much success if he puts in the hard work and have a positive attitude. But the individual with the capacity to do great things may squander his or her potential if no action was taken.

Find out about your capacity, your limitations and potential.
